Jonh Campbelljohn and his band made the 17 hour drive from Nova Scotia to Westport to play a special St. Patrick’s Day Show March 19th at The Cove and the crowd attending was really glad they did. We were treated to some of the best slide guitar blues this side of the Mississippi. Campbelljohn – named Best Guitarist Of The Year several times by Real Blues Magazine – on slide, dobro and pedal steel backed by his small but powerful band -

Neil Robertson on drums and Andrew Lambert on bass - plays great rockin’ blues (interspersed with a little reggae and some Celtic overtones) as good as it gets. He is also a prolific songwriter who performs mainly original songs - and they are all good! Sadly, “Autobahn John” is better know in Europe where he tours regularly than in his own country. We were lucky to have him here - he doesn’t get to Upper Canada that often.
